About Us:
We are a venture capital firm investing in bold founders solving meaningful problems. We partner early and stay deeply engaged throughout the journey. Our team is lean, fast-paced, and impact-driven. We’re looking for a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to directly support our General Partner and help drive key strategic and operational initiatives.
About the Role:
This is not your average EA role. Beyond managing scheduling and email, you’ll be an extension of the General Partner’s network-building and public-facing efforts. You’ll research key players in the VC and startup ecosystems, help craft outreach, and coordinate events and strategic meetings. You’ll also support our PR and visibility strategy by identifying relevant journalists, pitching story ideas, and surfacing speaking opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, dynamic environments, is a strong independent thinker, and consistently delivers high-quality, above-and-beyond work — without needing detailed oversight or micromanagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Support
- Manage and optimize the General Partner’s calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Handle inbox management including drafting and prioritizing emails, and flagging important communications.
- Coordinate complex travel arrangements and itineraries.
- Make informed decisions and take initiative to move tasks forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
Relationship & Network Management
- Conduct research on other venture capital firms, angel investors, operators, and startup founders.
- Manage outreach via email and LinkedIn to schedule meetings with relevant contacts.
- Maintain and update contact databases and CRM tools (e.g., Affinity, Notion, Airtable, or HubSpot).
Event Organization
- Plan and coordinate small-scale events such as dinners, meetups, and networking gatherings.
- Research and book venues, catering, and accommodations as needed.
- Create and manage guest lists, send invitations, and track RSVPs.
- Support travel and lodging logistics for attendees when applicable.
- Ensure all event details run smoothly by proactively anticipating needs and solving issues as they arise.
PR & Visibility Support
- Identify relevant journalists, newsletters, and podcasts in the startup/VC space.
- Pitch story ideas and potential interview topics to media and podcast hosts.
- Support thought leadership efforts including coordinating content pipelines (e.g., newsletters, blogs, guest posts).
Special Projects & Research
- Assist with market and competitor research related to VC and startups.
- Help prepare briefing documents for meetings and speaking engagements.
- Take on high-leverage special projects as needed, proactively filling in the blanks and executing with minimal supervision.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably supporting a startup founder, VC partner, or business owner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and operate without requiring step-by-step oversight.
- Consistently delivers high-quality work that anticipates needs and exceeds expectations.
- Exceptional written communication skills, especially for professional correspondence and outreach.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Proactive and resourceful problem-solver; you see what needs to be done and do it.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with the venture capital and startup landscape.
- Experience with tools like Notion, Airtable, Affinity, Calendly, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Background in marketing, PR, or journalism outreach is a strong plus.
Why Join Us?
- Work closely with a senior leader in venture capital and gain deep exposure to the startup ecosystem.
- Take on meaningful, strategic work that goes beyond administrative support.
- Flexible remote work with a collaborative, mission-driven team.
- Opportunities to grow into a Chief of Staff or operational leadership role over time.
